Jim Jim's First Post

Hi Everyone

This is the first try by Jim Jim to spark interest in doing a little family storytelling.  Jim Jim would like to share  stories about family members and our busy lives,.   .  So please help Jim Jim by sharing stories about you, your family, and what's going on in your life and your family 's lives.  Pics are particularly welcome as Jim Jim is trying to learn how to add pics to storytelling.

With summer upon us, I would like to celebrate several pretty terrific family happenings.  I will touch on a few upcoming events in my next Summergram or autmngram, and, I hope, share pics.

Call or write to me what is happening in your lives. I will make sure it gets reported.  I am sincerely asking for your help.... I need to learn how to use face time.  There are lots of great pics out there which I would love to circulate.  Any volunteers to help Jim Jim?

Here are some really interesting recent family stories....

Marie and Dr. Josh tied the knot in Killington Vermont on 6/13 in a wonderful setting.  They are now in London enjoying their honeymoon.  Ann and Kevin, Margie, David Katherine, Dennis and Marian Haugh joined the 6/13 celebration.  Marie and Josh have found a condo in Chicago where they will live as of July
1.  It 's not very far from where Suzy's and Henry Persons' family are living and where Ellen's and Ben Rose's family are living.  Marie begins work from her home office and Dr. Josh begins his fellowship at Northwestern
Medical School  July 1.

Congratulations and best wishes Marie and Dr. Josh!  Welcome back to Chicago, proud home of the Chicago Blackhawks, Stanley Cup Champions!  What an exciting final series!

Margie, David and Katherine are traveling to Denmark and Sweden for a ten day trip. Sweden is from where grandmother Freda Stephan to Katherine and David emigrated to Chicago at age 18. We will want to know much more about this special journey.

More good news...It's official, I think.  Katherine has earned a permanent position in communications at the UN.  More later as we hear from Katherine about what's going on at the UN. Plenty of crises to keep the diplomats busy and the UN in middle of all too many insoluble problems.

Anna Berman appeared in Carey School's operetta June 5. She has a real interest in acting and will be attending acting camp this summer.  Nana  and Jim Jim joined the Berman tribe at the operetta.  Charlie Berman just returned from seemsNicaragua where he joined a group of classmates from  Crystal Springs School for a mission trip.  Charlie also spent two very interesting weeks in Israel earlier this year. Can't wait to hear about Charlie's impressions on Nicaragua and Israel. How about some pics, Charlie?

How about the San Francisco Warriors! NBA Champs!  Did the Bermans get to any playoff games ?
First championship in 50 years!!! Great for SF!

Nana and Jim Jim head for Harbor Springs 6/29 for summer fun. Maybe some or all of Margie, Ann H, Kevin,  Josh and Marie can come for the 4th.  Little League, summer camp and lots of July commitments prevent others from coming in July this year.  August is a different story...stay tuned.

Henry J graduated from 8th Grade at Hawthorne School 6/12.   His grandmother Joy Persons, Nana, Jim Jim, Suzy, Henry Z, Jacob and Luke celebrated. We all are very happy for Henry J.  He gave a funny and entertaining short speech at the graduation ceremony with his co-salutatorian.

Congratulations Henry J!  Good luck at Walter Payton High School in the fall.

Lots of Little League games ahead for Johnny, Jacob, and Luke this summer / and tennis tournaments for Emilia, who is becoming a really good tennis player.  Nana and Jim Jim would really like to be at as many games as we can.
